We're not particular believers in omens. Which is a very good thing. Because as we've been banking, there have been some very bad omens.
Firstly, the first bank we visited yesterday had a bleak-looking Buisinessweek magazine cover, proclaiming in angry red letters on a black background:
Finally, and hopefully lastly, we drove past a bunch of birds eating carrion roadkill on our way to the bank meeting this morning.
