Band Geek

It may not surprise any of you to find out that I was a band geek when I hit high school. (I went through correspondence for Grade 10, and came into a public high school for Grade 11). Our Band teacher, Mr. Brown, was one of the most amazing people I've ever met. He told me once that out of all the students he'd taught, I was the most likely to succeed. He was one of the first people I'd ever believed when they said something like that about me, and I owe him a debt of gratitude for having told me that at such a vulnerable age when so many things were changing. I remember so much time spent in the Band Room. It was also the place where I first adopted into a brotherhood of sorts. There were three very good friends who liked me, and one of them knew me fairly well and laughed with me often... It was the era of the Lord of the Rings movies. So I became Pippin. These are some of those girls, love them to bits. =)
