The Garden

Me with Beans

Photo

This photo will have been taken in the mid 90's.

My Grandma is a gardener. The family home has a huge yard - HUGE. I grew up surrounded by colorful flowers. Lilies especially, are one of my Grandma's favourites. I'm not a huge fan of the actual work of gardening - planting things and whatnot. Caring for gardens is not something I find the biggest joy in, but I absolutely enjoy plants, and indeed all living things. The family garden is one of the most awesome things about growing up, spending time there, eating fresh food - especially raspberries - and just enjoying the spectrum of color. I will always remember sitting in the garden at twilight, wandering about with my Grandma and having her show me all her most prized flowers. Huge, healthy, amazing plants.
