Slacktive

In a little while
Surely you'll be mine
In a little while... I'll be there
In a little while
This hurt will hurt no more
I'll be home, love

The last couple of days have been a lovely breather from the hectic crazy of my life for the past couple of weeks. Two days in a row I have turned off my alarm and lounged around in bed for another hour or so just because I can. It's pretty glorious. Tonight I had a staff meeting, which is the one weekly stress of my life,  but even that is rather benign in comparison to the stress of University now past. Afterwards I caught a few dances at the Tuesday night Swing evening with a couple of hardcore dancers who came out despite the rainclouds and cool breezes. (I thought the cool breezes were a major bonus, personally.) I greatly enjoyed dancing with some of my favourite dancers.

To cap off my day with even more pleasure, I finally caved and downloaded Skype again so I could talk with my dear friend Janta (super late for me, super early for her). We had a grand theological discussion again about some things we're both struggling with. God brings people together to stretch and grow them, and it gives me great pleasure to know that Janta and I tend to fit together this way - friends growing in God. It was a really good conversation, and so nice to see her beautiful face!

Less than a week and I'll be taking off to the coastal regions to have my brain and abilities stretched for a week of pure photographic theory and the companionship of other professional photographers. I shall be gone for a week, during which time I will learn and tour.

And when I get back I will work for a week and then there will be a Blogathon!

Wow, it's kinda weird to be blogged about... but fun. Thanks to you, too, for an awesome conversation. Enjoy Victoria!!
