made for greatness, greatness

Fear, No Fear, Fearless

Learning to breathe
I'm learning to crawl
I'm finding that You and You alone can break my fall
I'm living again, awake and alive
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies

I guess it's time to talk about Switchfoot? Switchfoot is one of those bands that defines my life. Nearly every one of their lyrics applies to who I am today, and some of them helped me get there. I am proud to be able to say that scene favourite, I was with them before they were famous. But the one upside to their fame is that they were able to afford to come to my city! I finally got to see them and it was one of the greatest concerts I've ever seen! They really are an amazing band with such insight... My friend

jesusphreaq  and I got a picture with Jon which I'll treasure forever...

Part of this post is something you'll be reading over at my new friend Abby's blog - she met me over the IRC chat and found out I was a poet (my poetry can be found at poeti ) so you should all go check out her interview. It was very fun to fill out!

And I'm going to start answering questions from people, too. I have written down all the entries and placed them in my hat. *picks*

It is [info]hipstamom 's question: Do you HP (Harry Potter); what's next in the book queue?

I don't HP, I tried reading the first book and I didn't like it. The next thing in the book queue is definitely Arthur Slade's Megiddo's Shadow. Arthur Slade is an author I had a chance to work with in a workshop in Saskatoon. He's a really neat writer. I very much recommend Dust. Quite amazing, I really enjoyed it. I am sure I will be similarly enchanted by MS.

Since we're talking about books and one of my other sponsors, [info]aurora_lamour 's questions is about finding a spot in one, I'm going to do that now. Right beside me is Movies in 15 Minutes by [info]cleolinda Jones:

The random line: And then they hear... the vengeful dolphins.

Tune in on my next post to see me talk about that!

And apparently a LiveJournal, which I think every writer should have ;)

Nice to see you around! I haven't managed to read Meggido's Shadow yet, but it's still up there on the list. I did manage to rack up some fines with the library on it though... *sigh* I'll try again soon.
The Library to me has always been more of a rental outlet... I'm sure the salaried individuals who work there appreciate that, if not the people who request the books I'm holding hostage at the time.
