Another Recipe by jazzgran for you all =)
If you missed the first one, find it here.
This is a dessert that kids and even Grandmother's love! Melt a 1/2 cup of Eagle Brand milk (the sweet, canned kind) with 3 toffee bars, best ones are Mackintosh's 56g bars. Get a bag of large marshmallows and cut them in half, or leave them large for a big mouthful. Coat them by dunking them - quickly so they won't melt - in the carmel milk mix, and then roll them in some Rice krispies you've set aside. Corn flakes also work... Set them down to cool... See if you can wait that long.
It's totally snack time. For 21 years, my Grandma has been making food for me. She does a crazy good job of it. And here I get to share her bounty with all of you! This one of my favourite desserts, and that's saying something because I'm not always that into sweet stuff and deserts. When she handed me this recipe, I was like, "Are you making these?" Unfortunately I don't get them today, but you could. Have some for me!
While we're talking about porcupines, how about some porcupine facts from various net sources?
Did you know that porcupines are rodents? The name "porcupine" comes from Middle French porc d'épine "thorny pork", okay, I had to laugh at that. I heard once that it's very painful for porcupines to mate... So the fact that there are porcupines in the world means those critters are pretty driven. Babies are one at a time, 7 month gestation, and come out with soft quills. They harden shortly after birth. Porcupines are herbivores. Porcupines are downright awesome and have a fun to say name! =)
There will be one more recipe for you tonight at suppertime...
